Welcome to Hallmark Baptist Church

Environments change. Never has that been more obvious than in the first decades of this millennium. Amidst this ever-shifting environment, some things are unchangeable and rock-solid stable. The Most High God of all creation never changes. His truth as revealed in the Bible never changes. Basic human nature as descended from our forefather, Adam, proves its natural, sinful sameness in every generation, from sibling rivalry to international violence.

Times change. But Jesus Christ remains the same. He is The Most High God, God in the flesh, Jesus of Nazareth, and He came to change human nature through His Gospel. In every generation He has redeemed, saved, and regenerated every broken-hearted sinner who has come to Him through repentance and faith. Today, as in the past, the unchangeable Lord will make such sinners stable and eventually, in eternity, unchangeable like Himself.

Moreover, Christ built an institution that He called “my church,” in which those He saved are to be taught. They are to grow, to mature, and to serve. The Apostle Paul explained that the church is “the pillar and ground of the truth” (I Tim 3:15). Its task is to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to baptize those who are saved, and to teach everything He has commanded (Matt. 28:19-20). That is an all-comprehensive work. When this work is unfolded it will fill lives with purpose, hearts with joy, and the earth with the “knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:9). The people of Hallmark Baptist Church consider this work to be our great central purpose.

In His name, we must confront the “weightier matters of the law: judgment, mercy, and faith” and address the awesome subjects of eternal life, heaven, and hell. The incredible gravity of these themes compels us to labor unselfishly and sacrificially according to the example of Christ. The church is not for entertainment, but to accomplish the work He has for His people. We invite you to be a part of this great work.
